05. This is an example of how I sketch out ideas before I draw them. I usually don't do it if it's only a portrait, but because two people are interacting, it saves me a lot of trouble with placement and relationships.

FINALS ARE OVER

I've been spending my free time watching Bednaya Nastya, a Russian soap opera. It's so addicting.

I also have been working on my own art for the first time in awhile.

I have done the line-art over three times now, and I was going to do it a 4th time last night because I fucked up the shading... but i'm glad I stuck with it and worked it out. I'm REALLY happy with it. When it is done I'll post a good quality picture :] I'll probably mail it to Yana after the holiday season, to avoid the massive clusterfuck mess that is the postal system around this time of the year. I'm hoping it makes it to Moscow unharmed.

I actually started these in May but didn't post them because they were a surprise. Well, they aren't done yet (but are farther along than in this picture), but he saw them already so I decided to share them :]

I think I'm going to spend the majority of tomorrow cleaning.
